Although we produce music for Gold Medal winning Olympians we are still committed to making Freestyle Dressage to Music easy, affordable and available to everyone. So if you want to compete in Freestyle Dressage but don't know where or how to start, don't panic, we are here to help!
We only use editing methods allowed under the terms of British Dressage’s License with the PPL. So you can be assured your music will be legal to use. No manipulation of the track, or overlaying tracks to change the original or obvious tempo adjustments, these are strictly illegal under copyright law!
We are able to produce not only a CD of music to ride to in your test but also a DVD with your music dubbed on to it. You will be able to watch your program complete with your music choices before you even enter the arena, making learning your test much easier.
Getting started with Dressage to music could not be more simple:
Step 1: Get a friend to video you riding your horse at walk, trot and canter on a 20m circle around them.Video each pace for at least 60 seconds (example here) Pick your best rein. If you have a Floor plan, video that at the same time from one end of the school. If not I can design one for you.
Step 2: Contact info@equivisions.co.uk to book your work in. Upload your video to youtube www.youtube.com (instructions here) or use a free file sharing service such as www.wetransfer.com or post your footage to me on a memory card or disc to Equivisions, Willowbank, 11 Scarsdale Avenue, Allestree, Derby, DE22 2LA.
Step 3: Pay for your chosen music package online here
Step 4: We will choose music for each gait which matches your style preferences and corresponds to your horses paces and beats per minute and send you a link to watch and listen to the samples against your video online. From this you select your favorites
Step 5: Depending on what service you require, your chosen music is professionally edited to fit your floor pattern, matching highs and lows in the music score to your movements.
Or you can have our budget service which gives you a piece of edited music to average times for the level of test you want to do. You then make your floor plan to fit this music.
Our average turn around time from receipt of your video is currently 2-3 weeks. If you require your music more quickly, please ring and we will try our best to fit you in. We do charge a premium for this service to cover overtime.
